VOLUNTEER
GET TO KNOW LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE AND HELP OUT THE COMMUNITY!
This event is free to the Public, which can only happen with volunteers like you.
Carnaval San Francisco kicks–off Memorial Day weekend at the SF Giants on May 23rd, and continues with our FREE 2–day family festival in the Mission District on May 24th & May 25th on Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets. Experience global cuisine, international music, dance, arts & crafts, and other fun activities and entertainment on every street corner for the entire family to enjoy.
You can volunteer for one, two or all three days. Volunteer activities are listed in the online volunteer form.
All volunteers will get a tee shirt, breakfast, lunch and the happy feeling of contributing to California's largest annual multi-cultural festival.
This year, for those who are interested, we will have periodic informal happy hours for volunteers prior to (and possibly after) the main event as a way to get to know other community minded people in and around the Mission District.
For some activities (block captains, parade marshals, and stage hands) you will need to attend a volunteer orientation meeting held in early May (two date options will be given).
If you want to be more involved, become a Core Volunteer. That means you can help out before the event itself. To be on the Core team, contact Steve Carey, the Volunteer Coordinator. Call direct at 415–305–8135 or email VOLUNTEER@CARNAVALSANFRANCISCO.ORG
